TN730 vs TN760: Which Brother Toner Should You Buy?

TN730 is the standard-yield toner option and TN760 is the high-yield option for supported Brother models. Both are toner, not drums. Confirm fit first, then compare the current prices and stated yields.

- Check whether the message says toner or drum.
- Do not compare price without considering yield.
Capacity is the practical difference
A larger stated yield can reduce how often you replace toner. Brother states up to 3,000 pages for TN760 under ISO/IEC 19752 using Letter/A4 pages. Your documents and use can produce a different result.
Use your own prices
Divide the price of each exact cartridge by its stated yield. Then consider whether fewer changes or a smaller upfront purchase matters more to you. Do not assume high-yield is cheaper per page during every promotion.
Keep drum warnings separate
Neither TN730 nor TN760 clears the wear of a DR730 drum. If the display says Replace Drum, identify the drum and whether it was already changed before buying toner.
